Ok, I hosed Mandrake Update from 8.0 Beta1, like an idiot I set my version
to 7.2 in preferences...the problem is there's no way to set it back to 8!
I'm actually running the latest cooker distro, I just started with beta1,
mirrored one of the cooker ftp's last night, and did one hell of a rpm -Uvh
* After fixing about 60 dependency problems It's all running fine...but I'd
really like to have MandrakeUpdate working, it makes it so much easier to
keep up to date....I've tried completely uninstalling and reinstalling it,
but the preferences stay the same. What file contains the prefs so I can
edit it and put it back to 8.0? Unless someone has a working binary RPM of
MandrakeUpdate 8.0 (that would be nice) I tried setting up MU 8.0 from the
src rpm as I can't find one for i586 in binary...but I got several errors
trying to do a configure that don't make sense..I'll save that for a later
post after I've had time to dig into it some more...
