The very much possible reason is, that Mandrake subdirecotry is lost on
sunsite.uio.no. To be precise:
the following directory exists:
<ftp://sunsite.uio.no/pub/unix/Linux/Mandrake-devel/cooker/cooker/Mandrake/>
(note two cooker), but the following not:
<ftp://sunsite.uio.no/pub/unix/Linux/Mandrake-devel/cooker/Mandrake/>
I always mirrored the later. Note, that on ftp.sunet.se the cooker
subdirectory is a link to i586!!! I.e.:
<ftp://ftp.sunet.se/pub/Linux/distributions/mandrake-devel/cooker/>
cooker -> i586
while on sunsite.uio.no the same directory is just a plain directory.
And I confirm, that contrib disappeared from sunsite.uio.no.
Folks, it is impossible to have two primary mirrors with different
contents.
