I've downloaded, installed it, and the problem is fixed!
By the way, installation gave the following messages:
rpm -ivh gdb-5.0-12mdk.i586.rpm
gdb ##################################################
install-info: START-INFO-DIR-ENTRY without matching END-INFO-DIR-ENTRY
I've not seen the "install-info: ..." message before. Don't know if it
indicates a problem or not, but thought I should mention it.
