I don't have to report it as second hand knowlege even.
Un(or)fortunately I have a RH box at work (laptop actually so it comes
home with me) that never has galeon hangs.
The thing is that galeon doesn't really hang. It just sits in a
"poll()" and never returns. It accepts and process signals fine. I
just never returns from the poll().
