ads are quite annoying for experienced users _and_ new users. The best
solution is doing something very similar to eazel idea: sell services,
but not Mandrake services: a lot of sites out there are waiting
contacts. Including in the bookmark list, or in a localhost search
engine or making some frontends to free (no cost) services like sending
sms, mail, paypal etc... this form of advertising is not so invasive,
but should give some income from those sites.
btw... has mandrake a certification training project like RH Certification?
i haven't seen anything in site. Our LUG in italy does 2-3 editions per year
explaining the basis use of mandrake system. All is _very_ cheap, as we are
a no-profit organization (we are buying new hardware for the site..
finally :)) ), but for a real linux-mandrake certification, mandrakesoft should,
_must_ earn much more, teaching from linux usage to C and perl
programming.
