Ok.. I've been toying with a software developement idea for the past few
months and this thread kind of brought it to the surface. The software I'm
writing is basically a web based front end for a rather complicated
database. Though it's targeted at a specific industry I believe it to be a
rather lucrative investment. What's been hindering me is deployment...
Ideally the customer would have a unix/linux/bsd server running, but as we
all know most companies are still stuck on MS products. If someone at
Mandrake would be interested in developing a customized and rather simple
install of just a core OS, apache, perl, and one of the sql's I would
definately be interested in working out a deal with them as far as payment
for the program as well as including your logo on the packaging along with
some other ideas i've toyed with. I know this really isn't the place to talk
about this, but the thread caught my eye and I figured that the developers
might be looking to expand Linux Mandrake just a bit. Anyways, if someone
could reply to me personally about who I might contact that would be great.
Hopefully little things like this will help keep the Linux drive going.
(Man I feel guilty sending this from Outlook Express... reiser + Via = bad)
;)
Anyways, sorry for spamming everyone elses mailbox =)
