hum, that is not happening here at all.  Could you check that you have
activated in the BIOS your primary & secondary IDE channels?

I can achieve that behaviour here if I turn off in the BIOS the IDE
support, but not of other way :(((

If that don't work either, please boot with the boot param (in the
lilo line) ide=reverse, and told me if that works.
