Okay, I just installed kernel-2.4.5-7mdk, and got the error message again.

[root@teich root]# ll /boot/vmlinuz /boot/initrd.img
lrwxrwxrwx    1 root     root           27 Jun 22 21:43 /boot/initrd.img ->
/boot/initrd-2.4.5-7mdk.img
lrwxrwxrwx    1 root     root           18 Jun 22 21:43 /boot/vmlinuz ->
vmlinuz-2.4.5-7mdk

To be safe, I'll recreate the initrd...
