Hi
Can someone let me know whether the iptable_filter module has been fixed
in 2.4.5-8mdk or something?
I can't use iptables right now 'cos I get:
#iptables -L
iptables v1.2.2: can't initialize iptables table 'filter': Module
is wrong version
Perhaps iptables or your kernel needs to be upgraded
Seems like the iptable_filter module in net/ipv4/netfilter is not
well in its head :)
Also I normally have the following in my /etc/rc.d/rc.local
insmod paride
insmod on26
insmod pd
to activate my Orb drive on the parallel port.
It worked with LM 8.0, not since the kernel upgrade from MdkFreq.
At boot time, it spits "unresolved symbol" for various things when
executing these commands..
Although once booted if I open a console and execute these commands
manually it works perfectly...
What can be wrong at boot time?
note: if someone knows what's wrong with the iptables stuff then can
it be fixed quickly as it is a major security pbm for those who rely
on iptables...
Thanks.
Cheers,
Fred
