Nope. My main workstion has dis disks:
hda: Pioneer DVD-ROM ATAPIModel DVD-116 0107, ATAPI CD/DVD-ROM drive
hde: IBM-DTLA-307030, ATA DISK drive
hdg: IBM-DTLA-307030, ATA DISK drive
hde: 60036480 sectors (30739 MB) w/1916KiB Cache, CHS=59560/16/63, UDMA(100)
hdg: 60036480 sectors (30739 MB) w/1916KiB Cache, CHS=59560/16/63, UDMA(100)
hda: ATAPI 126X DVD-ROM drive, 256kB Cache, UDMA(33)
If you are using a motherboard with a promise (mine has a VIA for
ide1/ide2 and a promise for ide3/ide4) you have a BIOS option.
Otherwise, in my experience, telling the BIOS that boot from SCSI
(yes, I know that ATA-100 is not SCSI, but the BIOS the only thing
that knows for the PCI board is that it is for storage, the same for
ATA than SCSI) did the trick for me.
Later, Juan.
