I encountered similar problems yesterday. I got RPMDrake working by installing devel packages for each package that rpmdrake was dependant upon. I'd get you a list of the RPMs but I destroyed my install shortly after (I didn't pay attention to the warnings about loading KDE2.2 Beta1).

Subject: [Cooker] rpmdrake
I just discovered I sent this email with HTML using the new Mozilla
messenger. I apologize to all for the slip.

Can someone please tell me what is needed to make the new version of
rpmdrake work at all. When you hit a package to install all it does is
remove the package from the list. I have upgraded to every new package
manually but would like to use software installer. Thank you in advance
for any help with this matter.
