Additionally on a Compaq Deskpro 5200 (200 Mhz Pentium), the stock
kernel disabled all input devices when the mouse was initialized (Aurora
during boot, gpm, or starting X). This problem did not exist with the
install kernel, and since I recompile without many of the features
present in a distribution kernel, I'm not certain exactly what was
causing the problem.
