One way for the newbie to learn about what he has installed and what he wants
to test the next day is to give him a consistent picture.

Let us say that the today tree structure is OK -> make it accessable to the
user after install, preferably even give him the opportunity to print it.

Thus he may hold it in his hand while he is using whatever updating program.

Besides, Mdk is now a public company and has responsabilities towards
shareholders. This is a rather important question and may warrant some
research.
