This may not be a Mandrake issue, but perhaps: Ever since upgrading to
8.0, which co-incides with upgrading my hardware and monitors, I find
that _some_ applications, particularly Gnome applications, have
strange evenly-spaced vertical-bar artifacts across the menus. This
does not occur as frequently in plain GTK apps, but, for example,
Galeon's File and Back menu bars are almost unreadable. Borders and
frames and the main content window are fine, and if I do a mouse-over
on a button, the high-light image is fine, but when the mouse moves
away, the strange bars come back.

Has anyone else seen anything like this? Is this evidence of a
gnome-lib mismatch? Could it be an XFree+Gnome version clash issue?
It's annoying, and has occurred since 8.0Beta3
