I had the same poroblem testing the latest kdebase-2.2-10
you can start it from clicking the right mouse button...
and selecting run Command
the problems seems to be it can't start klauncher (so I guess) kded seems to
be up and running... and the error box says it can't start DCPServer...
at least the error I was getting... Unable to start konqueror, nor xterm...
curious what version you are running?
