I cannot reproduce it. If I set keyboard using Mandrake mcc (or select
Russian keyboard during installation) and I start KDE screen saver, I
can switch between Latin/Russian layout in screen saver.
If you use other means to switch keyboard (like KDE native tool) or
other screensaver you may have problems. But then it si strictly
speaking not Mandrake (packaging) problem :-)
