I agree that there *may* be problem with initscripts. ifdown-post
restores resolv.conf from saved copy but it does not set umask (as
ifup-post does). So it may happen that due to umask restored resolv.conf
is unreadable. Chmoel?
But it happens only if back up copy exists. And just now I run kppp and
there is no backup file (at least as used in initscripts). So kppp has
own bug :-)
