If you _must_ login with a particular shell, edit the /etc/passwd file (make
a backup copy first!)  Find the line with the username in question.  Near
(or at, I forget) the end of that line you'll see the default shell,
delimited by ':' (most likely /bin/bash or similar.)  Replace it with the
_full_ path of whatever shell you like...

An easier alternative is to start a new shell from the command line.  For
example typing 'csh' at the command line will start a new c-shell session
(assuming that csh in your path.)
