With which I also agree. It cannot be right that security update breaks
important feature. At least users must be made aware about it.

However it would have been useful for Mandrake to have stated in the
security alert for the new kernel that supermount was broken. I *always*
install updates as soon as they come out, however had I realised that
supermount was broken I might have hesitated in this case (the bug fixed
by
the new kernel did not really impact me).
