Hello fellow cookers!
I need some recommenadations for a video card. The computer
I'm running for my desktop has a Trident Cyberblade 3D, which is using
the AGP port. Up until today it was working fine in Windows, but had
no 3D support to speak of in Linux, and Xv port for dvd player didn't
work correctly. OK, so now it's starting to get noisy RAN, with blue
dots on the screen with windows screen saver - which is new behavior.
I suspect the RAM is getting noisy... sooooo...
What card should I replace it with that's well supported in
Mandrake, and which hopefully won't require me to build my own kernels?
All suggestions welcome. Money is tight, so is a factor - no $1000
video
