It was working fine with XFree86-server-4.0.3-7.1mdk (remembered that RPM
keeps a log of package installs/removals..)

I do have "append=" video=aty128fb:1024x768-16"" in my yaboot.conf.

The only thing that makes me suspicious is that the new XFree86 might be
trying for agpgart and the 2.4.4-6.4mdk kernel doesn't support it. Can
that be added to a future kernel release? Benh's kernel has a Apple
Uninorth AGP option. But then again, if you're using the same 2.4.4-6.4
kernel...

I do already have the UseFBDev in the config..

My current X config is at http://victoria.tc.ca/~iwhite/XF86Config-4
