All, Forget about this, I just did a simple test on another machine here and my theory sucked... It mainly depends on the amount of packages in the rpm db. And gc is probably right too, I have lots of partitions and about 10-20 isos mounted on this machine. I only wish that rpm did not behave this way because it's very annoying to me... Could the rpm db be partitioned somehow?, maybe something for the next generation of rpm... Sorry about the noise. -- Oden Eriksson, Jokkmokk, Sweden.
