Had the same thing with 8.0 on a recent NEC desktop. Went back to kernel 2.2 and it sprang to life - sorta. Netscape was never ever happy on the machine (mind you the video card was an ATI builtin that XFree86 has never been entirely happy with). Cheers; Leon
