Once again- latest Cooker (12.18.01) - fresh install using PCMCIA.IMG on
a Gateway Solo 9150XL notebook (my normal test machine) with a DVD and
LS-120 combo drive.
Up until recently the system worked fine with previous Cookers - but
since the Supermount has been "fixed" - I get horribly slow response
under KDE and it seems that the system is constantly trying to read the
ls-120 drive (with or w/out media doesn't seem to make the difference)
When I finally get booted into the system and disable supermount
(supermount -i disable) - the system is just fine.
Attached is a copy from the dmesg output on a freshly installed and
first bootup system.
