Something wierd happened to me last night with this kernel.

I ran "hdparm -a -W1 -c1 -d /dev/hda".

And now (I just woke up) it seemed like the /dev/hda got inactivated and 
taken "offline". The only thing I could do was to hit the reset button. The 
bios autodetection failed to find /dev/hda, so I had to power off the machine 
and then power it up again.

Is this a bug in the kernel or has someone else experienced this ?
