This type of issue can also be applied to laptops with removeable bays. I had a similar issue when I removed my floppy and put in a cdrw. I had to change the floppy to a standard manual mount configuration and take it off of supermount for proper functioning. However, to get the cdrw to work I had to append hdc=ide-scsi to lilo. This will cause a problem though if I remove the cdrw and replace it with a 2nd hard drive...
Is this a job for kudzu? I think kudzu shows up way later in the chain of events to help though.... but it would be nice to have a general check for devices with these changes being made automagically, esp for newbies. --- Austin Acton <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Anyone care to help me/Mandrake with a minor laptop > glitch? > My laptop has a floppy drive in the docking station, > and it automounts > beautifully in the new cooker.
