Hi I just did a new install and had basically the same problems as earlier.
1) Why? in /usr/X11R6/share/locale I have en_US and sv. And I have opted for en_GB and sv. I do believe that the Installer got that from the default, when to choose language. It is easy to test, just skip the defaullt proposed language.
