Hello all Cookers and Mandrake developers!

I am interested in your opinions:
wether LM can be bundled with some networking hardware, and if answer is
"yes", what subset of current LM should be included?

Reason why I post this question on Cooker list:
* there is a lot of network-experienced people subscribed to it.
* all subscribed people use Linux, and very well experienced in it both Linux
and networking hardware
* probably, some people also work in mixed enviroments (with Windows servers
and/or Windows workstations) - so you know how you can integrate both together
* Mandrake developers read this list - so, it's possible to get input "from
the first hand"

I have to admit that I recently took management position in one networking
company (mostly hardware), which manufacturers NICs, hubs, switches, print
servers, routers, wireless cards/routers, ADSL modems, etc.
Visiting company headquarters last week, I used opportunity to talk to
Strategic Development Director, and asked him wether company is interested to
make some software bundles, in particular, with Linux.
After some thinking, he told me that it's definitly interesting option.
And asked me to provide some ideas and contacts.

Therefor, I'd like to ask all of you what do you think about it.
My basic idea behind such bundle is to increase Linux awareness and, may be,
provide for Mandrake some long-term growth opportunities (I can send more
details to Mandrake people off-list)
Despite a lot of claims that Linux is "getting ground", it's penetration into
corporations and SMB is still quite small. As far as I know, there are no
Linux servers or desktops in a company I am working for. :-((
If we managed to penetrate networking /server market first - next step can be
Desktop. But I would not go to Desktop bundles for now (while still it can be
an option in the fiture, may be, with network interface cards or Wireless
cards)

In my opinion, Linux provides great flexibility for System Administrators -
you can do a lot with it what require much more resources when you use
Windows. But most System Administrators are just not aware of this. So,
providing an option for them to test Linux and possibly to install/use later
is a very good idea, IMO.
Question is what Linux apps should be bundled, and how they need to be
installed. So, I bed on your experience and opinions, and invite you to
discuss topic - either on mailing list or off-list.

My Best Regards,
