Level 3 that is. I login from the console as normal (not root) user and do "startx". What I get is: (EE) NVIDIA(0): Failed to initialize the NVdriver kernel module! (EE) NVIDIA(0): *** Aborting *** It doesn't seem to be a permission problem since startx doesn't work for root either. This is the cooker mailing list here, right? :) I am using cooker. And as for the driver, it's the 2313. Everything used to work until yesterday. I updated the kernel to 2.4.17-16, recompiled my NVdriver which complained that it couldn't create the device nodes. When I had to reboot later that day I noticed that the module doesn't get loaded anymore. Rgds, Rainer
