please, send me the config that you are tryingn to compile, please, it
works for me (tm), and you are not the first nor the second having
problems with it, and I am not able to reproduce them :(

I am able to compile with gcc-2.96 & gcc-3.0.4.

if possible, told me what you do step by step, i.e.

urpme kernel-source-2.4.17.20mk
rpm -Uvh kernel-source
cd /usr/src/linux
make mrproper
create your config for your preferred method
make dep
make clean
make bzImage modules
make modules_install
make modules

If it fails, a log of this all will be nice.

21mdk is out and it is based in rc4, anyways, if you have 20mdk, you
only need to copy it to the SOURCES directory & change the spec file.

here are a patch against 2.4.18-pre8 (quite similar to rc2), will
create a new set of patches today/tomorrow fixing a couple of problems.

http://people.mandrakesoft.com/~quintela/supermount/

Later, Juan.
