That's exaclty what i am doing :-)
However, i just tested with alsa, with no special options, everything is OK. 
I think i'm confusing with nvidia drivers, which don't use autoconf, and rely 
exclusively on /boot/kernel.h. I guess that means there is no solution apart 
rebooting in this case, right ?
