less /etc/sysconfig/harddisks
create /etc/sysconfig/harddiskhd{a,b,...} if you need drive-specific
options.
Has two advantages:
- happens much earlier, even before filesystems are mounted
- does not conflict with RPM if you ever update initscripts
I wonder if it is described anywhere, I guess reference in hdparm man
page would be just fine.
