You disable v4l by editing /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 and search for v4l (you should get something like Load "v4l" You comment the line (add a # at the beginning), or you delete the line. For using a synthesis, you use rpmdrake (or urpmi) for defining a cooker source, by default a synthesis file is used unless the path to the hdlist is given. Fran�ois.
