Same here, drivers installed just fine, NVdriver in /etc/modules, I get the Nvidia screen when X starts and I can do a few things with the console, kedit, etc but when I launch Konqueror or Kmail the computer will lock up tight requiring a hard reset. Putting 'nv' back in XF86Config-4 as the driver lets me run just fine again. Mdk 8.2/kernel-2.4.18-4 AMD Athlon XP 1800+ Extacy NVidia 64meg GForce2 256megs DDR PC2100 memory
I had these same problems with my Gateway PII/450mhz also Anyone else with similar problems with NVidia -jon- On Saturday 16 March 2002 07:00 pm, Murray J.
