If you still have copies of the previous source roll back your nidia drivers.

# out the v41 module in your XConfig-4

If you are using a wheel mouse check your XConfig-4 and verify that Chord Middle is 
not # out.
For some reason this happened on 2 of my systems and after correcting I ceased to have 
lock-ups.
