I've got someone who couldn't run diskdrake on an 8.1 install. The problem was: modprobe: Can't locate module floppy modprobe: Can't locate module ide-floppy insmod'ing module ide-floppy failed at /usr/lib/libDrakX/modules.pm line 532. So I had him add "alias ide-floppy off" to modules.conf and got him past it.
I looked through the changelog in the current Cooker drakxtools and didn't see anything about modules. The ide-floppy module does not exist on the current kernels. I assume that it's something from the detect_devices perl module that is finding his LS120 floppy drive and trying to load the ide-floppy module. Pixel, I am contacting the guy to see if he can try the most recent Cooker drakxtools to see if diskdrake still does this. You might be able to say with certainty if it does or does not.
