Yes.  I used the same text with the truetype fonr Courier New and that 
looked even worse on screen -- see attached snapshot1.png.  However, it 
looks OK printed and better on screen with larger resolution.

However, look at the mess on snapshot2.png when you select View -> 
Nonprinting Characters.  This is really unacceptable.
