I posted earlier that I also get this problem on a Toshiba Portege 7200 
laptop.  This is on a fresh install of Mdk8.2. As Sarang reported, adding the 
2x soundcard modules to /etc/hotplug/blacklist seems to fix the module 
loading woes.

I've searched through /etc/rc.d/* and can find no links to 
/etc/hotplug/pci.rc.  Have also grepped for 'pci.rc' in all files below 
/etc/rc.d/* too and can find no reference to it.

Suggestions?
