This gets even better. I went to my updated cooker RPMS, listed them all to a file (ls *.rpm >file), pruned out the kernel* packages, the dev package and the MAKEDEV package and then tried an "rpm -Fvh `cat file`. Of course I got some errors regarding missing dependencies (new dependencies for packages I have not installed yet) and kernel-linus2.4 was not among them. So why does urpmi think there is a dependency when rpm -F does not see the same dependency? Of course now what I am all updated, I can't test very well why this is happening. :-( b. -- Brian J.
