Ben, look at my first post in this thread, and if you read carefully
(i know, my english is horrible), then you can view, that i reported
problem with _outgoing_ mail handling mime types, not handle application
to mime type, which i received.
you can find .mailcap file in /etc/skel-eton directory. as you know,
files are copied from this directory when admin create new account.
but in fact, this was not subject of my post, if i look at this
file, i found:
application/msword; ns="%s"\; nf="${ns}".html\;wvHtml "${ns}" >"${nf}"\; netscape
-remote 'openURL(file:'"${nf}"')' \; sleep 2 \; rm "${nf}"
this is funny, because user, who doesn't have installed wvHtml and
netscape package cannot view file with this mime type, but this .mailcap
file is in his newly created home directory by default...
if i return back to my first post in this thread, i reported situation,
when i have installed on machine mutt, postfix and ssh package only (for
example), and with default config (or custom) i cannot properly define
mime type for _outgoing_ message, because system doesn't have any
mime.types file, and _any_ binary file is marked as text/plain or
application/octet-stream (depends on configuration) and this is
surely not something we want.
please, next time you would like to argue about my posts again, keep it
on topic or simply don't reply. this subthread about .mailcap file is
completely off topic.
