kpersonalizer should only run the first time you log in to the system after
an
install and remember your choices for subsequent log-ins.  It isn't doing
that.
Instead, every time you log in, it runs again, as if this were the first
time.

I have even tried faking the .kde3/share/config/kpersonalizer ".rc" file by
creating a "FirstLogin=false" entry under [General], as was suggested here
a few weeks back, but that didn't help.  The new ".rc" file gets overwritten
with a blank one, and kpersonalizer still runs every time.

A quick workaround is to click quit and then choose "Quit and revert" to
keep your current settings without having to run through the whole setup
again and again.
