That wasn't his point. The config file was clobbered during an upgrade recently. Happened to me too... Upgrades shouldn't overwrite config files that were modified. The reason I didn't worry about this issue is because I don't think it was maintaining my config file was was reverting back to the default one after I made changes and that now that it was really saving them it wouldn't be an issue.
