I have freshened to latest cooker as of now and ripperX will rip just fine to wave but it does not encode to MP3 using any of the encoding methods. It starts to and then switches of and says not encoding. At the end of ripping it states the song has been written to MP3 and the file created but the size of the file is always zero. This program beats the pants off of Grip IMHO so I think it's important it work properly for 9.0. Any ideas??
The output isn't very helpful but here it is: [root@host root]# ripperX Gtk-CRITICAL **: file gtkwindow.c: line 834 (gtk_window_destroy): assertion `GTK_IS_WINDOW (object)' failed. Gtk-WARNING **: invalid unclassed pointer in cast to `GtkObject' Gtk-CRITICAL **: file gtkobject.c: line 1070 (gtk_object_get_data_by_id): assertion `GTK_IS_OBJECT (object)' failed.
