Really? And if we have problems with, say, the 2.4 kernel, we can go back to 2.2? Hell, why is Mandrake even working on 9.0, when they can just ship 8.2? The thing is, OSS is buggy and outdated, and ALSA works much better for most users. We need to fix the problem, not go back to an old, buggy sound system just so that one user can have sound. -- -- Igor
