Yep, that's what I just tried. Unfortunately this caused not only a few
conflicts with packages that needed libstdc++.so.5 from gcc 3.1
(printer-filters and gnome-games among others) but also caused urpmi to
hang and do nothing after a short period of activity. Manually trying to
update with RPM hangs RPM in the same way at 34% of preparation.

At the moment I'm in textmode trying to resolve dependencies manually and
making urpmi behave... grrr... :(
