it must not be ntfs. It would not try mounting were it ntfs.

or maybe it has a fat id in partition table, but really is ntfs?
can you give the output of "fdisk -l /dev/hdd" ?

all this is weird. Can you give me /root/drakx/report.bug.gz (it esp.
contains lilo.conf which seems strange)
