i'm using gnome2 with metacity window manager...
my problem is that when starting gnome,
the startup of metactiy takes a loooong time ( 20-25seconds),
(i have a 1ghz athlon + 256mb ram)...
if i uninstall metacity,
then the gnome-startup is a lot faster ( something like 3-5seconds)
metacity wasn't always so slow to start up.... but i don't remember when
did this slowness begin..
any ideas what happens?
or that's simply normal that metacity starts up so long?
