Well, it's not Mandrake who changed it, it's the author of the driver. Here's a link to an email message on the kernel mailing list: http://www.cs.helsinki.fi/linux/linux-kernel/2001-22/0585.html He says he can't get full-duplex to work right in all cases, and that some users get slow performance. This discussion is old, but it looks like the xircom driver in 2.4.19 has been restored to an old version that's supposed to be more reliable (http://lwn.net/Articles/3286/ or http://www.google.com/search?q=cache:2E9C0lfZH8wC:lwn.net/Articles/3286/+xircom_cb with highlighting ). By the way, a quick (10 minute) google search would have told you all that and more. -- -- Igor
