I was testing sound card cs4281 in beta 4 again. I know now that OSS
module is OK, and ALSA modul don't work.
I hadn't any modul in memory. Draksound offer only ALSA modul for
CS4281. When I set ALSA modul (in draksound) then system hang. If I set
ALSA modul in /etc/modules.conf system hang during launching service ALSA
after boot.
In previous versions of MDK (8.1, 8.2, 9.0b[123], I had prefered ALSA
modul against OSS, because OSS modul caused large latency in game (
Unreal, QuakeIIIArena demo ) and sound output from xmms (mp3) was non-continuos
during switching between applications.
My opinion is that, when ALSA modul is recovered in kernel 2.4.19-xxxxx.
I'll use it.
