Sorry no, I am a tad anal with my computer. :) > > Core was generated by `/usr/bin/perl /usr/sbin/grpmi > > ftp://ftp.ciril.fr/pub/linux/mandrake-devel/cooke'. > > Program terminated with signal 11, Segmentation fault. > > > > The actually ftp address is... > > > > ftp://ftp.ciril.fr/pub/linux/mandrake-devel/cooker/cooker/Mandrake/RPMS > > > > Is this just the message being truncated? > > I think it's truncated by gdb or the core. Did a test, it just times out. Yet still says everything was installed successfully. A simply counter will tell you if all, some, or none were installed and display the appropriate prompt. I am thinking of a newbie getting that message not knowing the process thinking it was successful when actually fact it was not. The problem has disappeared. Yes it was related to downloading packages, I had seven new dumps and downloaded seven packages. Those packages were updates for rpmdrake and dependencies. Downloaded some more packages and no more dumps. Gabriel Oh, even thou I am complaining, I am impressed with rpmdrake, compared with Redhat's setup it's a lot easier. Some more tweaking and polishing and I see rpmdrake becoming the defacto standard for the installation of rpm packages.
